What options do you have for care?

We have flexible booking options, from all-day to overnight boarding. You just choose the care you need...and schedule your check-in time. We do the rest. You will receive pictures and videos throughout the day.

What experience do you have caring for dogs?

We have had 25 years of experience with rescue. Currently, we have one French Bulldog, Java, who adopted us back. She is the sweetest, gentlest soul on the Planet. So we have a companion for your dog...and a family who loves dogs. We have experience with behavioral issues, male dogs marking their territory on everything in the house, nothing is likely to bother us...and we will handle it all with calm, steady responses. Dogs are always nervous when you leave and we let them get used to the humans before introducing them to any other dogs.

What is it like at Universal Dog Care Orlando?

It is like your house but with our furniture. Nothing fancy, although we have tile floors throughout the house so that we don't have to worry about hair or stains and it makes cleaning much easier. We have professional cleaners who keep the place spick and span.

What will my dog do all day?

Your dog will be in our home, with our family, following us around from room to room, sitting on our bed while we do our Zoom work or school, and go to our yard with our family. In short, they will be one of our family, in our home and our beds and on our furniture. Your dog will play with friends, go out into the fully fenced backyard on a leash to run and play, or lounge on the outdoor patio. Your dog will be very active during their stay with us and it is not uncommon for pets to sleep more than normal after their fun play-cation at Universal Dog Care Orlando. 

What are your hours of operation?

Check-in is generally between 8 am and 8 pm unless special arrangements are made. When you schedule your dog's care by texting Universal Dog Care Orlando at  ‪(407) 212-7152‬, you will choose your check-in time. Boarding is 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with check out before 8 am the morning following your dog's care, with special accommodations made based on your needs.

How do you do feedings?

Universal Dog Care Orlando recommends that you bring your own food in pre-measured and pre-marked Ziplock baggies to maintain your pet's normal diet. This also helps prevent over or under-feeding. We feed all dogs SEPARATELY to avoid food allergies or food aggression.

Should I bring my dog's toys or bedding?

To ensure a flea and tick-free environment, we ask that you do not bring any bedding, fabrics, or toys. We provide all dogs with a Deluxe Dog Bed and a fresh blanket at no additional charge. We want to make sure your dog has the best experience possible.

Should I bring my dog's cage/crate?

If your dog is most comfortable at night in a crate, then yes. If your dog sleeps in the open, then no. We have deluxe dog beds which are easily sanitized for each dog.

What is the minimum age for boarding a puppy?

The youngest age we will accept is an 8-week-old puppy, due to them needing their mother's warmth and milk before this age. If the mother is being boarded as well, we would make an exception. We just want the welfare of the puppy to be taken care of.

Do you have any restrictions on dog care or boarding?

For the safety of your pet and other dogs at Universal Dog Care Orlando, we do not accept dogs that have been coughing within the last week, dogs that have open wounds or stitches, dogs that are recovering from surgery,  dogs that have contagious diseases, or dogs who are aggressive to dogs OR people. 

We accept dogs in heat, but they need to be provided a private room or playtime with only female dogs, when available.

Post-Surgery Guests: To reduce the risk of complications post-surgery, we will not accept any pet with non-dissolvable staples or stitches. Any pets with dissolvable stitches must be at least 2 weeks post-operation.

What is your cancellation policy?

If your plans have changed, we ask that you please give us a courtesy text so we can allow availability for another dog to be taken care of. We impose a $35 per dog cancellation fee to offset the credit card fees we are charged until 2 days before your care is scheduled to start. You can reschedule or BANK your care for the future at no extra cost, just let us know your needs.

What is your Privacy Policy?

When you hire our services, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, and email address. To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

WE DO NOT COLLECT FINANCIAL INFORMATION. We use a secure server through Stripe which collects and processes credit card information. We do not have access to this information.
